SARNIA, Ont. — With the 2020-21 season having been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we needed a different way to keep basketball in the minds of fans from coast-to-coast while keeping people engaged with the players, coaches, and programs from across Canada.
During the pandemic, the trading card industry took off, with cards being sold left and right. We took the two markets and combined them into one: U Sports and CCAA basketball cards.
We profiled 152 players and coaches from across all conferences in Series One of our cards, rolling them out over the month of December to keep people talking about our game in Canada.
